Sunday 8th March / Sunday 28th June
Learn the art of lino cutting with Jackie Shackson and create some unique prints.
Jackie’s set of 3 classes is an introduction to several non-chemical printmaking techniques. They can be taken as a short course or as separate classes (drypoint and collagraph). Once these skills have been learnt they open up endless possibilities to create beautiful prints individually or by combining two or more of the different print processes on one piece. You don’t need to have excellent drawing skills for any of these methods as all can be combined with image transfers or tracings.
Lino cutting is a relief printing process related to woodblock cutting but using a lovely soft cut lino. This is one of the few methods that can be reproduced at home without a press!
Teas provided. Other drinks and delicious lunches and cakes are available to purchase from the cafe should you wish. Please bring an apron, basic pencil case tools, all other materials will be provided. Maximum 6 people per class.
