March 6th / October 3rd at Stiwdio 3, Cardigan
10.30am – 4.30pm
A day spent designing and making your very own felted quirky bird with Ruth Packham.
Ruth makes probably 10-20 birds in a year and each one is unique. Like yours will, they evolve in the making process and are not fully fledged until having been spun in a washing machine. Ahhh….
Each bird goes through a number of processes and so you will learn about needle felting and dry felting techniques during the day. There will be a sumptuous array of dyed Cambrian and local Welsh Wool to choose from to decorate your bird. A day of playing and laughing as you give your bird character then spend hours massaging it with soapy water.
• One day of professional felting tuition from Ruth Packham
• A spacious work area is allocated to each student along with their own set of tools to use while they’re here
• A plentiful supply of dyed Cambrian and Welsh wool is included in the ticket price as well as all other materials needed to felt your bird
• A plentiful supply of tea is provided. Lunch can be purchased on the day of your workshop from the Stiwdio 3 café
