Course Description

A coptic-bound hardback book full of envelopes and pages in which to store all your secrets, family recipes, love-letters, locks of hair and memories etc. Make an A5 hardback book with artists quality, acid free cartridge. In just one day Carole will teach you all the necessary techniques to create a beautiful volume of your own design. The functional hardback covers will be decorated with a choice of hand-printed paper. This binding forms a decorative spine that enables the book to lie open flat on the table.


• One day of professional bookmaking tuition

• All materials required to make your coptic-bound book are included in the course fee

• A spacious work area is allocated to each student along with their own set of tools to use while they’re here

• A plentiful supply of tea, coffee and cake is provided. Delicious lunches are available to purchase from Stiwdio 3 or Ceridwen.

March’s Venue

We’ll be running March’s course at our new venue on Cardigan high street. Studio 3 opening November 2019. More information coming soon.

July’s Venue

We will be running our one day workshop at The Ceridwen Centre, Drefach Felindre, West Wales. Ceridwen is a welcoming holiday, training and retreat centre on an organic farm. Energy demands at the centre are served by biomass, solar thermal and solar PV. Experience their fabulous views and abundant wildlife.

As a special treat, why not come a little early and book in and have a nice break before (and/or after) your course? Ceridwen have a range of fantastic accommodation all in the one magical location.
