Make it in Wales is changing….

Make it in Wales - the Brand

A word from Suzi Park, the founder of Make it in Wales.

I have decided to step away from Make it in Wales running at Stiwdio3, in that residing at Stiwdio3 Cafe and running craft courses from there I no longer feels right for me.

Stiwdio3 has developed over time, into something other than my original vision (in a good way)!

The Pandemic altered the way we had to do things and knocked the stuffing out of the courses and craft community.

I spent 3 years keeping the business functioning and β€˜alive’ (we had 13 members of staff on Furlough) and that meant me changing my focus to the cafe. During the Pandemic, that’s virtually all the business had.

Fast forward 3 years from then and I found myself unable to move my focus from the duties of the cafe and on to building the courses and retail back up again…… also the β€˜hwyl’ had gone for me and I struggled to start what felt like, the bottom of the mountain again and try to build the courses and brand again.

If you’re not feeling the passion any more then it’s time to give up I think.

It wasn’t an easy decision because I thought that the venue would have to close, BUT NO…. Jess has taken over Stiwdio3 cafe and the place I am sure will go from strength to strength.

I am keeping this website β€˜open’ in order to share my passion for craft and Welsh Makers and we will just have to see what develops.

Thanks to all of you for your support over the years, whether a customer of our craft courses or one of our many wonderful Welsh Makers…
